Best Learning Board Books from Priddy Books

If you’ve been following me a while, you know that ever since I was pregnant, I knew I wanted to make sure reading and learning were things I took time to research the best resources. One set of books that were easy to find and that were focused on education: Priddy Books.

There are so many benefits of reading with your baby including exposure to sound, colors and textures, promoting lifestyle skills, and it helps create a great bond with you and your baby.

We recently got five different books from them! And we actually had a couple others prior too.

As a first time parent, these books are a must! They have such a variety of books and love that every book teaches different things. These books are colorful and sturdy. I love that some of the books use real life images to guide association and some have really fun illustrations. Here are some reasons to consider Priddy Books!

EDUCATIONAL

I think it's fantastic that in all of their books, the kids can learn something new! In First Numbers book, we can count from 1-100 which is great because most baby books count from 1-10 which is limiting. Some other books that we have from Priddy Books (that were not sent to us) are First (100) Words and First Animals from the First 100 Board Book Set.

TEXTURES

The textures are great for developing motor skills, language acquisition and teaches them the difference between soft, hard, shiny, etc. Even in the See, Touch, Feel book, where the book is flat - it shows textures like bumpy versus smooth. In the Bright Baby Touch book set, I loved teaching him about different animals and how each of them feel different.

COLORS

The colors in all of their books are so bright and vibrant - great for visual contrast. In the Colors book, I love that you can see each of the colors at the front so you can select a color you want to view instead of going through the book to find a specific color. The illustrations showed different variations of that same color too!
